Danny became known to the world during the 9th season (New Orleans) of MTV's trend setting reality show, the Real World. He was the only openly gay member of that season. He was applauded by the gay community for being a very good role model for young homosexuals.

During the season he was dating a military officer named Paul. Producers of the show decided to blur out Paul's face so that he would not get dishonorably discharged.

Since the show, Danny has appeared in a variety of national magazines, guest starred on popular television shows and lectured about gay issues.

Danny continues to lecture and is still with his boyfriend Paul, who is no longer in the military.
