Profile:
In
2000, Andy Roddick turned pro at the age of 17.
Just 18 months later, he had already won two tournaments
and was one of the top 50 ranked players. As of
2003, Andy Roddick had won five titles and was ranked
among the top five tennis players in the world.
The key to Andy's game is his monstrous serve. In
the finals of a grass-court tournament in London
in June 2003, Roddick tied a world record by unleashing
a thunderbolt serve that reached 149 miles per hour!
But, Andy roddick is still waiting to get his hands
on a Grand Slam title. He reached the semi-finals
of both Wimbledon and the Australian Open in 2003
and won the 2003 US Open.
