Biography:
"I
was raised on 36 acres of woods and ponds in rural Arkansas
where I ran around covered in dirt, with my faithful
dog who protected me from real life snakes and imaginary
bandits. Growing up I went fishing and exploring and
rode my bike on gravel roads. I learned to swim at 6
months old. Today I am grateful for the early start
as swimming is one of my most favorite things to do
as well as the basis of many other active things I enjoy.
My family often took trips to water-ski, sail, canoe
and kayak on the local rivers and lakes. Growing up
I played golf, tennis, baseball, football, soccer and
basketball. I also embraced every opportunity to perform
that I could from an early age (I played Abe Lincoln
in my pre-school pageant), which I attribute to my mother
being a college drama teacher. So, I sang in my church
choir, played in the school band and acted in school
plays.
Later,
I performed in regional musical theatre, combining two
of my favorite skills and passioins. I focused on film
and TV while under scholarship to SMU in Dallas. After
college I spent a Summer in Yellowstone National Park,
probably the best time of my life and the freest. I
loved communing with nature, hiking, climbing and mountain
biking. Probably the best part though was driving cross-country
in my Jeep with the top down on my way to Hollywood,
where I was selected for a Television Academy internship.
From there it was all about work and earning a living
in the entertainment business, but I pursued acting
whenever I could.
Today,
I am living in Los Angeles with my dogs. We spend time
at the dog park or some of the really great beaches
around Southern California that allow dogs. I love it
here, because where else can I snow ski and hang out
at the beach in the same day? I am focused mainly on
my acting career now, though I still freelance in other
areas from time-to-time. In my spare time, I take acting
classes and workshops and also kickboxing, yoga and
Pilates instruction. Some of my interests and hobbies
include architecture, electronics, cooking and nutrition,
working-out, reading and films. Though, I enjoy nothing
more than just sitting around with really good friends
and breaking bread. In these troubled times, I can't
think of anything better than sharing life with your
friends and loved ones."
